About Coinfuty
Our mission
The crypto derivatives market moves billions of dollars every hour, yet the data that explains those moves — who is positioned long, where leverage is building, what it costs to hold a position — has long been scattered, delayed, or locked behind paywalls. Coinfuty exists to change that: we make institutional-grade futures market data clear, fast and freely accessible to every trader.
What we do
Coinfuty continuously collects and aggregates derivatives data from more than a dozen major futures exchanges, covering 100+ actively traded coins. We normalize it, verify it, and present it as live dashboards:
- Open interest — where leverage is concentrated, per coin and per exchange, across both stablecoin- and coin-margined contracts.
- Funding rates — current and accumulated rates, with open-interest-weighted aggregation so crowded trades stand out.
- Long/short ratios — how accounts and top traders are positioned on each exchange.
- Volume & liquidations— turnover and forced position closures that mark the market's pressure points.
Headline numbers refresh roughly every 10 seconds; historical charts reach back up to a full year across multiple timeframes.
How we work
Three principles guide everything we build:
- Accuracy first. Every metric is cross-checked across exchanges and timeframes before it ships. Exchanges reporting zero or broken values are excluded from aggregates rather than silently skewing them, and all timestamps are stored in UTC.
- Speed matters. Derivatives data is only useful when it is current. Our pipeline is built for sub-minute freshness on the numbers that move markets.
- Clarity over clutter. We would rather show one well-defined number than ten ambiguous ones. Every figure on the site has a precise definition — most of them are explained in our FAQ, and the rules behind every aggregate are documented in our Methodology.
The team
Coinfuty is built by a small, independent team of engineers and market researchers who have spent years working with exchange data infrastructure and trading analytics. We are data people first: the same pipeline that powers these pages is the one we rely on for our own research. We are not affiliated with any exchange, token project or trading firm, and we do not sell trading signals.
Independence & funding
Coinfuty is self-funded and editorially independent. No exchange or project pays for placement, and listings are driven purely by market activity. If that ever changes — for example through clearly marked sponsorships — we will say so explicitly.
